Abstract

A reconfigurable dense wavelength-division-multiplexed (DWDM) access system for millimeter-waveband radio-over-fiber (RoF) is described. Focuses are on the enabling techniques such as optical-frequency-interleaved DWDM grid assignment, supercontinuum multi-wavelength light source, photonic upconversion for RoF signals, and optical path switching for dynamic channel allocation for wireless services.
